Major Midget Boys win Bronze at Ontario Cup

May 30, 2014 - After struggling out of the gate, the Kingston Impact Major Midget Boys #1 made the most of a strong second half of the season culminating in a bronze medal at the Ontario Cup (Division 6).

Though relatively inexperienced at the beginning of the season, this group of boys went through a great deal of growth throughout season on their way to a very respectable 19-10 finish (11-2 to finish the season).

All four Ontario Cup games were exciting contests that came down to the wire with an enthusiastic home crowd of 100+ producing a true championship atmosphere that the boys adjusted to wonderfully.

Every athlete on the 11 player roster contributed heavily this season, including the four grade 9s who will be back as second year players when Kingston hosts the Major Midget championships again next season, and moving forward we will be excited to watch them apply their experiences from this season as a whole in driving their development.
