Saturday night's game was a battle against the 3rd seeded team, Valhalla from the Sarnia area. Trailing 22-21 at half, and 30-28 after three quarters, the Impact team again needed a big rally in the fourth quarter. An 8 point run that included a 3 pointer from Livia Wells, an offensive rebound and putback by Tegan Reynolds, and a 3 pointer from Mikayla McFarlane spurred the team to a 41-34 win, and a spot in the Gold Medal game on Sunday.
Playing Guelph Phoenix in the final, the team started off sharp. Chloe Cole scored 5 points in the first quarter to help the team to a 10-5 lead. Going into the third leading 23-11 it looked like the Impact was cruising. But Guelph scored four 3 pointers in the fourth to close the gap, Impact was up 29-26. Talya Kartye hit 1 of 2 free throws in the last 30 seconds to make the final 30-26, and seal the victory.
